HPC-Statuskonferenz 2021

On April 27, 2021, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, together with the Gauß Alliance and the University of Göttingen, will hold a conference on current developments in the field of High Performance Computing (HPC). The conference will take place as an online event.

From supercomputing in the highest performance class with the Gauss Center for Supercomputing (GCS) to the current establishment of the network of centers for national high-performance computing at universities (NHR), Germany offers an excellent infrastructure for science and research. At national level, coordinated research policy measures aim to strengthen the entire German HPC ecosystem. On the threshold of the exascale era, we cordially invite you to this joint conference. Current developments in HPC research and the use of HPC in science and industry are presented and discussed. In addition, the cooperation with European partners in EuroHPC is a central topic.

The status conference will take place online on April 27, 2021 in three parts from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In the first part, goals and measures at national and European level are presented as well as highlights from the data centers and current applications. In the second and third part, the focus is on scientific results and the embedding of high-performance and high-performance computing in the science and innovation landscape. To conclude, a panel discussion is planned to take up your questions on all topics of the conference.
